Ottawa Auto Show Gearing Up

The Ottawa Gatineau Auto Show returns in 2019 with an exciting new line up of attractions that focus on the newest vehicles, and the newest automotive technologies.

¨This yearś show will feature over 300 new vehicles from 34 manufacturers¨, said show promoter Peter Ginsberg. ¨Itś is the only show of its type in the region and it gives people, and families that are in the market for a new vehicle the chance to stop in and compare all the new models in one place at the Shaw Centre. It isn a sale, itś a show, and it gives people the chance to learn about the new features and the new tech that drives todayś new cars, trucks, mini-vans, and suvś¨.

The auto show goes far beyond a display of todayś most popular new vehicles though. This year the show will once again offer visitors an up close and personal experience with some of the worldś fastest and most exclusive cars. There will be a McLaren Supercar on display, along with an exhibition of the newest offerings from Lamborghini. There will even be a Canadian built Ford GT Supercar on display courtesy of Calabogie Motorsports Park.

Last yearś Hollywood Star Car exhibit was a huge hit, so this year look for a sequel to that display. On level 2 you will find Canadaś best ¨Smokey & The Bandit¨ Tribute Trans Am, and a Police car that pay homage star Burt Reynolds and one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. The exhibit will also feature a ¨Mad Max¨ Interceptor that gives a nod to the Mel Gibson film, which is being shown in Ottawa for the very first time, along with vehicles that will pay tribute to the ¨Fast & Furious¨ and other hit movies and TV Shows where cars became the stars.

Look for custom bikes on level 4, and a exhibits featuring tuner cars, track cars, and automotive service vendors.

There will also be a million dollar automotive art exhibit featuring the work of Legendary Pin Striper and automotive custom paint pioneer Yosemite Sam Radoff, who was once the official painter for dare devil motorcycle jumper Evel Kneivel.
